About Whole Hearted Parenting
Maggie Macaulay, MS Ed, discovered the value of parenting classes in 1999 when her young daughter’s
favorite word was “no”. Inspired by the transformation in her family, Maggie created Whole Hearted
Parenting in 2000 to share the benefits of parent education with other families and with the
community. Today, Maggie works with parents, educators and professionals who desire to increase
creativity, collaboration and connection.
The recipient of the 2008 American Business Women’s Association Spirit of Excellence Award as Parent
Educator of the Year, Maggie is a certified facilitator of The Joy of Parenting course and the instructor
trainer for The Joy of Parenting. Maggie is a certified facilitator of the personal development weekend
Freedom to Be: A Life Embracing Experience through Your Infinite Life Training and Coaching
Company as well as a certified coach. She is also the Executive Director of the non-profit organization,
The Peaceful Project, which reaches the under-served population guiding them to discover, honor, and
live their unique life’s purpose. Maggie is the co-creator of the Whole Hearted Adoption Workshop
and it associated seminar series, and she has published Parenting News, a weekly newsletter for
parents and educators, for over a decade.
Maggie has been a requested speaker at many conferences including It Takes a Village to Create
Change at the Joan Kroc Institute of Peace and Justice on the campus of the University of San Diego
and The National Association of Educators of Young Children (NAEYC) National Conference. Whole
Hearted Parenting was the host of two It Takes a Village parenting conferences in south Florida in
2012 and 2013 as well as Empowering Our Children in 2009.
Through coaching, courses, and workshops, Whole Hearted Parenting offers parents, teachers,
businesses and professionals the skills to create cooperative groups that communicate effectively, that
resolve problems peacefully and that assist children and adults in becoming assertive, empathetic and
