ABOUT MAGGIE
Hi! I’m Maggie Macaulay of Whole Hearted Parenting. Welcome!
I am glad you have landed here! Would you like to experience life more whole heartedly and open heartedly – with your spouse, family, and friends; in your career; as a parent? Our coaching and training guide you to discover that place inside of you that feels like home.
I am a Florida Native who grew up in an Air Force family. Exchanging humidity, hurricanes, and heat for the stunning high desert, I have been living in New Mexico, The Land of Enchantment, since 2016. You can catch my parenting column on Saturdays in the "Santa Fe New Mexican"!
I am a trauma informed and therapeutically informed coach with a specialty in Internal Family Systems, and I serve as a member of the coaching team with Resilience Partners Coaching. Resilience Partners Coaching offers coaching, consulting, and workshops guided by the most innovative science on resilience, transformation and change that you can count on. I also have a Master of Science in Education and under graduate degrees in Computer Science and Sociology/Psychology.
My daughter’s clear preference for the word “no” as a toddler inspired me to more deeply explore children’s behavior and development. I became a certified parenting educator, creating Whole Hearted Parenting in 2000 to share practices with other parents who wished to experience greater peace and cooperation at home. I soon became a trainer for parenting educators and then a certified coach and course facilitator. I now work with individuals, educators, schools, companies, summer camp programs, municipalities, organizations, and governmental entities as well as parents providing coaching and training.
Social justice, equality, and equity are important to me personally and at Whole Hearted Parenting. In addition to attending many courses, I received my credential for completing Foundations in Somatic Abolitionism for White Bodies through Education for Racial Equality with Resmaa Menakem and Carlin Quinn.
